LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Ripley County, Indiana man is dead after his scooter collided with a dump truck.
In a news release from Indiana State Police, investigators said that the crash happened about 9 a.m. Friday.
ISP said a Kymco motor scooter driven by 71-year old Paul Schwarte was traveling eastbound on Clearview Lane. He entered onto U.S. 421 and into the path of dump truck.
Schwarte died at the scene. The driver of the truck was not hurt. Toxicology results are pending, but neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected to be factors in the crash, according to ISP.
