LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A young man is dead after a shooting in the Russell neighborhood early Wednesday morning.
According to LMPD spokesman Matthew Sanders, officers responded to a Shotspotter call in the 2400 block of Magazine Street just before 1:00 a.m.
While on the way, officers were informed that a shooting did occur.
After arriving, they found a young man, possibly a juvenile, with multiple gunshot wounds and "was beyond help," according to Sanders.
The young man was pronounced dead at the scene.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating.
