LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 16-year-old was arrested and charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a pregnant woman in August.
Louisville Metro Police said the teen boy was arrested Tuesday on charges of complicity to murder and fetal homicide, wanton endangerment and tampering with physical evidence in the murder of Jermia Offutt, 28.
Offutt was shot and killed in the 4100 block of West Broadway on Aug. 13, 2025. Officers responded to the area around 9 p.m. that day to find Offutt with several gunshot wounds. She was taken to UofL Hospital where she died. Offutt was pregnant with her fourth child at the time of her death. The child also died.

The teen is the second person to be charged in the deaths of Offutt and her unborn child. In October, Deonize Lee Jr. was indicted for her murder and two other murders.
Lee is charged in the deaths of Offutt, Mozell Issaacc Johnson Jr., and his stepfather Jeremy Thomas. He was also charged with fetal homicide in connection with the death of Offutt's child. Lee pleaded not guilty during his arraignment Oct. 10 and his bond was set at $150,000. He remains at Metro Corrections with his next court appearance scheduled for Feb. 13.
The name of the teen arrested Tuesday will not be released because he is a juvenile.
