LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two people were arrested following an officer-involved shooting in Carroll County early Thursday.

Kentucky State Police said it happened around 2 a.m. on Kentucky 55.

According to investigators, an off-duty deputy officer found a suspicious vehicle parked on private property.

When the officer approached and confronted the people inside the car, the driver sped toward him. The deputy then fired his gun.

The car took off before crashing into a wooded area.

Police arrested Clinton Meadows Jr., 28, and his passenger Holly Price, 34, both of Indianapolis, Indiana, on multiple charges. 

Charges include possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, fleeing or evading police and trafficking a controlled substance - methamphetamine.

Both Meadows and Price are being held at the Carroll County Detention Center.

No one was hurt in the incident.
