LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Two Louisville men charged in the murders of at least six people appeared before a judge on Monday.
Andrew Jackson faces two new murder charges in connection to the shooting death of Patrick Brents Jr. on Aug. 25, 2025, and the shooting death of Devon Jefferson on July 22, 2025. Jackson was already in jail after police charged him with murders in May 2024 and April 2025.Â
In September 2025, Jackson was indicted for the murder of 31-year-old Adrian Lewis. And in December 2025, DNA evidence led police to indict him for the April 2025 murder of Wayne Woods Sr.
The judge Monday entered a not guilty plea for Jackson.
LMPD also announced last week that Malik Johnson was indicted for Jefferson's murder in July 2025. Johnson was previously indicted for the January 2023 murder of Montae Robinson. At the time, he faced additional charges of being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun, tampering with physical evidence and fleeing or evading police.
Johnson appeared in court via Zoom Monday but did not enter a plea.
Police also said Jackson and Johnson are connected to two non-fatal shootings in 2025. Both men were already in jail at the time of the new indictments.
Jackson and Johnson are due back in court on Sept. 22.
