LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two men were arrested by Louisville police for allegedly stealing credit cards from elderly people's wallets and going on shopping sprees.

Louisville Metro Police said in a social media post Virgil Mozee and Nathanial Porter III were caught on camera between Sept. 12-25 stealing credit cards from customers at Walgreens, Meijer and Kroger stores.

According to police, the men were targeting shopping carts belonging to women in their 70s and 80s. They were caught on camera each time and used vehicles registered in their names.

The men racked up $5,013.92 in total charges and police seized their vehicles.

They were initially charged with theft by unlawful taking, fraudulent use of credit cards, trafficking in financial information and engaging in organized crime.

Police said they would steal credit cards primarily in the Cane Run Road, Dixie Highway and Terry Road area but believe they also were in the Fegenbush Lane area.

LMPD asks those who believe they might be a victim to call 3rd Division detectives at 502-574-2135.
