LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 25-year-old man was identified Tuesday as the victim of a fatal shooting last month at a Valley Station business.

The Jefferson County Coroner's Office said Ronny Walker Jr. died around 11:30 a.m. June 29 of multiple gunshot wounds in the 8800 block of Dixie Highway, which is just north of Stonestreet Road.

Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said police responded to a report of a shooting at Game X Change to find two men who had been shot.

The manager of Game X Change, who was too emotional to speak on camera the day of the shooting, said it was the third time the retail store has been robbed in a year-and-a- half. He said two men were attempting to rob the store again, but were both shot.

Mike Straub, who works at a nearby Marco's Pizza, said it appeared the men had glasses and face masks on.

"They were in a half run going around the corner," Straub said. "They just started heading real fast toward the Game Exchange, and next thing we knew there were gunshots and the cops are showing up.

"It's scary. I mean, it makes you not want to come back to work the next day honestly. What can you do? Just hope that our boys in blue are going to take care of us."

The second victim was taken to UofL Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
