LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 29-year-old Louisville man was arrested in Tennessee Thursday in connection to a Russell neighborhood shooting that left a man with critical injuries.
It happened just before 9:15 a.m. on Nov. 28 in the 1000 block of West Muhammad Ali Boulevard, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department.
Officers from the 1st Division responded to find a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to UofL Health Hospital for treatment and was listed in critical condition, according to the release.Â
After receiving information that a person possibly involved in the shooting was inside a residence, police surrounded the home and instructed anyone inside to leave with their hands raised.Â
The scene was cleared around 1:30 p.m., with no one found inside.Â
Police said in an update on Dec. 20 that Neal Jackson Jr. was arrested in Clarksville, Tennessee, and is facing charges that include assault and wanton endangerment.
It's unknown at this time when Jackson will be returned to Louisville.Â
