LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man has been charged with the murder of a husband and father who was ambushed and gunned down at Caesars Southern Indiana earlier this year.

Harrison County Prosecutor Otto Schalk said murder charges were filed Thursday afternoon against Chaz Davis for his role in the murder of LilDon Williams.

According to online court records, Davis is charged with murder, robbery resulting in serious bodily injury, auto theft, obstruction of justice, theft and criminal mischief. A probable cause affidavit was filed Thursday for an arrest warrant.

A written statement from Harrison County prosecutor Otto Schalk said Davis is currently incarcerated in Kentucky on unrelated charges and is awaiting extradition to Indiana.

LilDon Williams was ambushed in the garage of the casino in the early morning hours of March 17, 2024.

Williams was shot by two men as he walked to his car in the parking garage at the casino in southern Indiana. Williams had just performed a concert in Louisville before driving to the casino with friends to celebrate.

Antwaun Proctor was sentenced Monday to 45 years in prison with no possibility of parole for Williams' death.

Police said Proctor and Davis followed Williams to the casino and waited three hours in the parking garage. As Williams left the building and approached his car alone, they chased him down and opened fire with long guns.

In a written statement, Williams' wife, Rannisha, said the family can now start the grieving process.

"It doesn’t bring complete closure to the family," she said. "This is something we will never get over, but we are happy both of suspects are caught. We can start to grieve properly."

Louisville Metro Police Department cameras, flock cameras and cellphone pings helped lead investigators to Proctor.
