LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A second person has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting in the Russell neighborhood last year.

Louisville Metro Police arrested 19-year-old Arlo Whitehead on Monday and charged him with the murder of Darwin Morgan. It happened in June 2023 at South 26th and West Madison streets.

Whitehead is the second person to be arrested for Morgan's murder. Last August, LMPD arrested and charged then 18-year-old Samuel L. Crowder. Police said Crowder, Whitehead and one other person fired multiple shots at Morgan from a car, killing him.

According to court documents, video surveillance showed Whitehead driving the car when shots were fired at Morgan. Whitehead admitted to police that he was driving the vehicle, and he gave them the identity of one of the other shooters.

Whitehead is due in court Tuesday morning for his arraignment.
