LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A 43-year-old woman has been identified as a victim in Louisville's first homicide of 2025.
Jefferson County Coroner said Tuesday Evelyn Belton died on Jan. 4, 2025 in the 8000 block of Red Cedar Way in Okolona. That's near Outer Loop.
According to Louisville Metro Police Sgt. Matt Sanders, police responded around 2:32 p.m. to a report of a stabbing. When police arrived, they found Evelyn Belton with multiple stab wounds.
Police said in an update Sunday morning that Jamie Belton was arrested and charged with murder. Belton was found by Kentucky State Police at a rest stop in Midway, Kentucky.
