LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A former superintendent from Owensboro was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison on numerous child sexual exploitation offenses.
Matthew Constant, 53, was sentenced to 30 years in prison followed by a life term of supervised release for two counts of online enticement of a minor, three counts of receipt of child pornography, two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and two counts of transferring obscene material to a minor, according to a news release.
Constant was the former superintendent of Owensboro Public Schools, reported by WEHT.
According to a news release, the case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, which combats child sexual exploitation and abuse.Â
