LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A southern Indiana man was killed Thursday afternoon in a crash in Breckinridge County, Kentucky.

The crash happened around 2 p.m. at the intersection of KY-144 and Cart Manning Crossing Road in Breckinridge County, Kentucky State Police said in a news release.

KSP said 44-year-old Michael Robert Tropp, of Jasper, Indiana, was driving a tractor-trailer when the passenger side tire left the roadway. The semi then veered off the road and down an embankment before hitting a tree.

Tropp died at the scene, police said.

The crash remains under investigation by KSP.
