LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An Indiana State Police trooper who was seriously injured after a crash in Indianapolis is returning home, reported by FOX59.Â
ISP trooper Azariah Keith was released from the hospital on Monday after spending 17 days in the hospital. Keith was hit by an SUV in mid-January.
The trooper stopped on the left shoulder of Interstate 65 southbound near 30th Street to help a stranded driver change a flat tire. Keith finished changing the tire and the driver was pulling away when another vehicle lost control and hit Keith before crashing into his cruiser.
