LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Police arrested an Indiana University economics lecturer in a child solicitation case.
Bloomington Police said they got a tip on Jan. 8 about 61-year-old James Self from the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office in Florida, reported by FOX59 News.Â
The sheriff's office said it was doing undercover operations with officers posing as juveniles online.
Police said Self asked someone he thought was a 14-year-old boy for nude photos and talked about meeting in person for sex acts.
Self also reportedly sent nude pictures of himself to the person he thought was the teen boy.Â
Self is charged with child solicitation, and was booked into the Monroe County jail. According to IU, Self was "suspended and banned from IU property."
