LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville police investigators are asking for the public's help to identify a man accused of stealing more than $1,500 worth of merchandise from a Best Buy in the city's south end.

Police said the theft happened around 8:15 p.m. Jan. 12 at the Best Buy in the 4200 block of Outer Loop. Investigators said the suspect entered the store and left without paying for the items.

In a post on LMPD's Facebook page, detectives from LMPD's 7th Division released surveillance video showing the suspect walking with a noticeable limp, favoring his right leg.

Police believe the man seen in the video may be responsible for similar thefts at other stores.

According to the post, the suspect left the area in a white passenger vehicle, though police said the make and model are unclear. Police hope someone will recognize the man from the surveillance video.

Anyone with information is asked to contact LMPD’s anonymous tip line at 502-574-LMPD (5673) or submit a tip online through the department's Crime Tip Portal by clicking here. Police said additional surveillance videos are available as part of the investigation.
