LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Metro Police have arrested a man in connection to the fatal shooting of a juvenile in the Park Hill neighborhood in June.
LMPD arrested 20-year-old Damari Walls-Medlock on Thursday, charging him with murder and assault.Â
At the time, LMPD Spokesperson John Bradley said officers responded to the area of Dixie Highway and West Hill Street on a reported shooting around 3:30 p.m. on June 8. Bradley said when officers arrived, they found two male victims.
One victim, identified by Jefferson County Coroner's Office as 16-year-old Sam Kamara, died at the hospital. The other victim was stable, and police have not provided an update on their condition.
Walls-Medlock is expected to be in court Friday morning for his arraignment.
