LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was found stabbed to death inside a car in the Jacobs neighborhood early Tuesday morning.

LMPD spokesman Aaron Ellis said officers were called to the 1700 block of Liberty Bell Way just after 4 a.m. on a call to assist EMS. That's off of the intersection of Georgetown Place and Berry Boulevard.

When police and EMS arrived, they found a man inside a car suffering from a stab wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

LMPD's Homicide Unit is handling the investigation. Ellis said detectives are working to learn what led up to the stabbing and what a possible motive could be.

There are no suspects.
