LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was shot near the 1000 block of West Broadway early Thursday morning, according to Louisville Metro Police.
LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis said in a news release that officers responding to a report of a shooting found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. They believe he was shot at another location nearby before he was found on Broadway.
He was alert and conscious while being treated by medical professionals before he was taken to UofL Hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening, according to the news release.
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating the shooting, but there are no known suspects.
