LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police charged a teenager with murder for the fatal shooting of a man in Louisville's Shawnee neighborhood in July.
According to Aaron Ellis, a spokesman for the Louisville Metro Police Department, police arrested a 16-year-old boy for the murder of 38-year-old Joshua Davidson.
The shooting took place around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, in the 500 block of Louis Coleman Jr. Drive, according to the LMPD. That's near West Muhammad Ali Boulevard.
When officers from the 2nd Division arrived, they found the man identified by the coroner's office as Davidson suffering from a gunshot wound. They rendered first aid until EMS arrived, but Davidson was pronounced dead.
Police charged the teen suspect with murder, first-degree robbery, possession of a handgun by a minor and second-degree fleeing or evading police on foot.Â
He is not being publicly identified by police, as juvenile records are sealed.
