LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Kentucky sheriff was arrested on DUI charges.
It happened in Robertson County, about an hour drive northeast of Lexington, reported by LEX18.Â
Kentucky State Police said it received a call around 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Robertson County school resource officer who was having a disagreement with Robertson County Sheriff Terry Gray.
The officer said he could smell alcohol on Gray.
Troopers called Gray on the phone and said he had extremely slurred and slow speech as he was driving his police car. When KSP caught up with Gray, they said he admitted to drinking vodka.
A preliminary breath test detected a .206 blood alcohol level, over twice the legal limit. Gray was arrested and charged with DUI.
He bonded out of the Bourbon County Detention Center and will be arraigned Jan. 10, 2024.
