LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 29-year-old man arrested in connection to a fatal shooting earlier this month in Louisville's Taylor Berry neighborhood pleaded not guilty in court Wednesday.
Shaveon Boyd, of Pekin, Indiana, was arrested in Fayette County, Ohio, which is about 75 miles northeast of Cincinnati.
Boyd is charged with murder and wanton endangerment in the shooting death of 31-year-old William Kannamore on Jan. 9. in a home in the 3300 block of Utah Avenue. He had been shot multiple times.
Kannamore was taken to UofL Health Hospital in critical condition, but died in surgery.
Boyd also fired several shots at another man inside the home at the time of the shooting, court records said. That man jumped from the second floor window to escape and sustained serious injuries including a broken leg, broken arm, and broken ribs.
Investigators recovered numerous shell casings inside the home.
Boyd pleaded not guilty to both charges. He is being held at Metro Corrections on a $75,000 full cash bond. He will be on house arrest if he posts that bond.
Boyd's next court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 5. is due back in court on
