LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A southern Indiana man was arrested after allegedly threatening a billionaire businessman on social media, according to police.
Indiana State Police said authorities in Texas contacted them Tuesday morning about social media posts with "life-threatening statements" against Elon Musk on X earlier this month, according to a news release.
Texas authorities believed the threats were made by David Allen June Cherry, 28, whom they believed lived in southern Indiana.
ISP began investigating and located Cherry in Clarksville where he was arrested without incident.
Police served a search warrant on Cherry's home in Palmyra and confiscated an AR 15-style rifle, a handgun, ammunition and a ballistic vest.
Cherry is charged with felony intimidation, and is being held in the Harrison County Jail without bond.
