LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Floyd County man is behind bars after he was allegedly caught with child pornography.
In a news release Friday, Indiana State Police said a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited children led them to Alfred De La Garza, 39, of Elizabeth, Indiana.
The investigation started in July when Indianapolis Police were tipped off about child porn images uploaded to a social media account in southern Indiana. The state's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force identified De La Garza as a possible suspect.
ISP found De La Garza at his home in Elizabeth on Thursday and served a warrant. Following an interview, he was arrested and booked into the Floyd County Jail on three felony counts of possession and/or distribution of child pornography.
The Indiana ICAC Force said in the released that anyone can report exploitation or other internet crimes involving children can report to local law enforcement. To find out more, visit the task force website.
