LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A suspect has been arrested for a shooting in the Russell neighborhood earlier this month that left a man in critical condition.Ā
In a release, Louisville Metro Police said Turner Rondell, 38, is charged with attempted murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.Ā
The shooting happened on Jan. 10 in the area of 26th and W. Chestnut Streets around 10:45 a.m.
According to court documents, police were called to the scene and found the victim in the middle of the street with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to UofL Hospital in downtown Louisville with life-threatening injuries.Ā
The arrest report said the surveillance video captured the victim trying to run from Turner, who allegedly shot the man. Police said Turner then stood over the victim and shot him multiple times.Ā
Turner then allegedly went back to his car, got behind the wheel and appeared to try to run over the victim still lying in the street.Ā
No additional information was released about the victim's injuries or his condition.
