LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A tip about a stolen motorcycle led to an arrest and the discovery of multiple stolen vehicles and an alleged chop shop in southern Indiana.Â
The Scott County Sheriff's Office said a caller tipped officials about a truck hauling a stolen motorcycle northbound on Interstate 65 in Scott County.
Deputies located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The driver, identified as 64-year-old Ronald Odle, was taken into custody.
According to investigators, deputies found two motorcycles in the bed of the truck that were reported stolen from Louisville. Officers also allegedly discovered additional stolen property and methamphetamine inside the vehicle.
Odle was arrested and charged with theft and possession of methamphetamine.
Following his arrest, deputies obtained a search warrant for property connected to Odle in Floyd County. During that search, investigators say they found five vehicles that had been stolen from Louisville, along with what authorities described as a "chop shop" used to dismantle stolen vehicles.
The investigation remains ongoing, and officials said additional charges are pending.
