LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 26-year-old woman was in court Wednesday after her arrest in connection with a theft ring that stole thousands of dollars of products from a retailer at three separate Louisville-area locations.
Investigators believe Keasia Tyson was one of six people who allegedly shoplifted the merchandise valued at more than $25,000 from Bath & Body Works stores. The alleged thefts happened between Oct. 1, 2024, and Feb. 7, 2025, at the following locations: 10385 Dixie Highway, 4314 Summit Plaza Drive, and 4171 Towne Center Drive.
She was arrested Feb. 18 on charges of theft by unlawful taking (shoplifting) and engaging in organized crime.
According to court documents, Tyson was seen on surveillance video driving a white 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was used during the thefts. During questioning, police said Tyson admitted to stealing and reselling products from the stores and driving the Jeep after investigators confronted her with surveillance images.
Tyson has faced similar charges in the past, including as recently as Jan. 26. That's when she was arrested for allegedly stealing fragrance items valued at $882 from Von Maur on Shelbyville Road. She has also pleaded guilty to shoplifting from the same store in March 2024.
Tyson was arraigned Feb. 19 on her most recent charges. The judge set her bond at $10,000, and scheduled her next court appearance for Feb. 27.
