NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WDRB) -- Indiana University Southeast officially has a new chancellor.
Dr. Debbie Ford was formally installed after serving as chancellor since July 2023.
Ford is a Louisville native and an Indiana University graduate. She said Wednesday that higher education transformed her life.
"I am honored to be able to live my passion and pay it forward as a first-generation college graduate in my home community," she said.
Ford oversees all aspects of academics and operations at IU Southeast. Prior to Ford, Kelly Ryan took over as interim chancellor following the death of Dr. Ray Wallace in August 2021.
Before taking over at IUS, Ford served as chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
