LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Some local families are getting back to school ready with some help from the Jefferson County Public Schools' Clothing Assistance Program.
The Back to School Blitz allows students who attend schools with uniform requirements to shop for their outfits in one place.
Families in need can browse the CAP warehouse on West Jefferson Street for new and gently-used clothes, shoes, belts, school supplies and more.
"There's something for everybody here," Justin Willis, with the DEP unit at JCPS, said. "It may not be everything that you need, but there's something for everybody. Somebody, everybody is gonna leave with something that's gonna be helpful and exciting."
To receive assistance, families should contact their school's Family Resource Center or Youth Services Center for an appointment.
The first day of school for JCPS students is Aug. 7, just two weeks away.
