LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jefferson County Public Schools celebrated the 100th and 101st day of school this week.
Tuesday at Perry Elementary, students and staff celebrated the 101st day of the school year with a 101 Dalmatians-themed day. The school wanted to have 101 staff and students dressed up in black and white polka dots, as dogs or as Curella DeVille.
Keisha Fulson, principal at Perry Elementary, wanted to try something new this year around the 100th day of school, so they waited a day later.
"We wanted to find something fun for them to get engaged in, so that was the whole purpose," Fulson said. "Teachers made sure every student is able to participate in some kind of way."
JCPS posted photos Monday of students dressed up as old folks for the 100th day of school.
"Can you believe we've hit 100 days of learning, growing, and making memories during the 2024-25 school year," JCPS posted. "We love seeing how JCPS schools celebrated the hard work and fun that have brought us to this milestone today."
