LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Oldham County Schools revised its proposed cellphone policy during a board meeting Wednesday.

The original plan banned phones all day for all students. But high school principals told the board it would be hard to enforce during lunch and class changes.

After that discussion, the board made changes. The new proposed policy says high school students can now use phones during lunch and class change but not in class.

They also added exceptions for medical or sensory needs and said after a first offense, phones would be returned to the students at the end of the day.
