LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Falls of the Ohio State Park Interpretive Center in southern Indiana has reopened after being closed for the summer.
The state park closed in May for major renovations to the building's HVAC system. There is now new LED lighting installed throughout the building, updated audio-visual equipment, exterior improvements and repairs to exhibits.
"It also helps with the longevity of the building, controlling the moisture in the building, making sure guests are comfortable in every part of the building," said Jacob Shapley with Falls of the Ohio State Park. "So that's why we put so much time and effort into the HVAC system to allow this building to be here and to prosper for many centuries to come."
The Interpretive Center is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. It's open 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
Admission is $9 for people 12 years and older, $7 for children between the ages of 5 to 11. Children 5 years and younger get in for free.
The Falls of the Ohio State Park is located at 201 W. Riverside Drive in Clarksville. To learn more about the park, click here.
