FBI investigating Addiction Recovery Care, LLC for healthcare fraud in Kentucky

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The FBI Louisville Division is searching for information in a healthcare fraud investigation.

The FBI is investigating Addiction Recovery Care, LLC. The substance abuse treatment provider is headquartered in Louisa, Kentucky. According to ARC's website, it offers a full continuum of care including detox, residential, transitional, intensive outpatient, outpatient, medically assisted treatment (MAT), vocational rehabilitation and job training across Kentucky.

No criminal charges have been brought against ARC at this time, according to the FBI.

According to a news release, victims may be eligible for certain services, restitutions and rights under federal and state law.

"Your responses are voluntary but may be useful in the federal investigation and to identify you as a potential victim," the FBI stated. "Based on the responses provided, you may be contacted by the FBI and asked to provide additional information. All identities of victims will be kept confidential."

ARC released a statement to WDRB News on Sunday saying they recently learned about the federal investigation.

"As we all know, healthcare is one of the most highly regulated fields in the country, and addiction treatment is among the most highly scrutinized healthcare services," Kyle Collier, director of communications for ARC, released in a statement. "ARC is a trailblazer in the field of addiction services. We are confident in our program and in the services we offer. We, and our legal counsel, are cooperating fully in the investigation."
