LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The process for getting homes repaired after the Givaudan plant explosion is still ongoing, and some homeowners are getting frustrated.

Last week, Givaudan announced it had hired a disaster response team to help with getting homeowners the help they need.

The team had its first meeting with neighbors Wednesday. One resident said a settlement was reached to pay for damage to his car, but he hasn't seen the money yet.

"Terrible. Yeah, awful, rotten, I don't feel good at all," Randy Crumley, whose home was damaged in the Nov. 12, 2024 explosion, said when asked how he felt Wednesday. "My life has been destroyed, I've been displaced, everything I own is in the city dump. And it doesn't seem like anyone really cares about that."

Givaudan said it will reimburse homeowners for repair costs, or those affected can go through the disaster response team for help.
