LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Graeter's is now offering a up a unique new ice cream flavor in partnership with Skyline Chili.

Chili Spice Ice cream is now available as a limited-edition dessert. The French pot ice cream pairs with Skyline's chili spice mix and oyster crackers for a sweet and savory combo.

"Everyone who knows chili knows Skyline and, as longtime fans ourselves, we were eager to collaborate on a one-of-a-kind, must-try flavor," Richard Graeter, fourth-generation president and CEO of Graeter's, said in a news release Monday. "Last year, speculation about our unconventional and somewhat polarizing partnership started a social media frenzy. We spent months perfecting the recipe – and we know that the flavor will surprise you."

It's available in 5-ounce scoops at Skyline Chili restaurants and Graeter's scoop shops. Both companies are based in Cincinnati.

"This is the first time Skyline has done a dessert collaboration, so we knew it needed to be worth it," Dick Williams, chairman and CEO of Skyline Chili, said in a news release Monday. "Graeter's Skyline Spice Ice Cream has the heart and soul of both beloved Midwest-born brands in every bite."
