LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville woman who won $150,000 on a Kentucky Lottery scratch-off ticket didn't hold back her excitement when she claimed the jackpot.

The woman, who doesn't want to be identified, arrived at lottery headquarters Wednesday and scanned her ticket at the claims window to confirm that she had won the top prize on the $10 Red Cherry Tripler scratch-off.

That's when she was overcome with emotion -- happy emotion -- and nearby lottery employees couldn't help but hear her as she jumped for joy.

"I've got happy tears," she said as she was greeted by lottery officials. "I'm so excited! I can’t contain it!"

The lucky winner bought the ticket at Speedway on Arthur Street in near Old Louisville Tuesday night.

While scratching the ticket off in her car, she revealed two red cherry symbols indicating the $20,000 prizes shown be tripled for a total of $120,000. Her ticket also matched a red number 39, doubling the $15,000 prize to $30,000, totaling the game’s $150,000 top prize.

She didn't immediately realize she had hit the jackpot.

"I was in the car, it was dark, and I thought I only had $150," she said. "When I got home in the light, I saw the comma. I couldn’t believe."

The woman told lottery officials as she left that the first thing she was going to do was treat herself to a spa day to clear her head.

She also has plans to buy a new car.

Speedway will receive $1,500 for selling the winning ticket.
