LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An Indiana man was arrested following a bank robbery in Jackson County on Tuesday afternoon.

Officers from the Brownstown Police Department and Jackson County Sherriff's Department quickly responded to the scene around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

It was the Jackson County Bank, located at the intersection of Main and Commerce Streets.

According to ISP, the armed male entered the bank, pointed a gun at employees, and then fled on foot with cash.

A witness from a nearby residence then told officials that the suspect ran through his yard and got into a black passenger car that was occupied by two women.

A Brownstown Police Officer conducted a traffic stop of a black Nissan passenger car that matched the description, according to ISP.

The suspect exited the vehicle holding a handgun and a large amount of cash. 

Jeremiah Bragg, 35, of Brownstown, IN was then taken into custody by officials and booked at the Jackson County Jail.

The two women in the car were released.

He is being charged with robbery, according to ISP.

ISP is investigating and more charges are likely in the case.
