LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jeep enthusiasts gathered Saturday for some good food and a good cause.

The Louisville chapter of the Dream Factory, which grants dreams to critically and chronically ill children, held its first-ever Jeeping for Dreams event at Bubba's 33 in Clarksville.

Jeep owners were encouraged to bring their vehicles and talk about their passions with other drivers. There was music, lots of food and games. A percentage of food sales went to the nonprofit.

For the families who benefitted from the fundraiser, the day was a dream come true for their children.

"Just for a week we try to take that burden off of a family and let that kid just go away and collect themselves somewhere else, away from the medical things that burden them," said Emily Campanell with Dream Factory of Louisville.

Last year, Jeeping for Dreams granted 31 dreams for children throughout Kentucky and Indiana.
