LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Fall Meet at Keeneland begins Friday.
The meet features seven days of racing with 22 stakes. The stake races are the richest in the track's history, with $9.85 million on the line.
The Grade 1, $1.25 million Coolmore Turf Mile will run Saturday, which is the highest stakes race ever at Keeneland.
Racing during the meet will be conducted Wednesdays through Sundays. Gates open at 11 a.m. Post time for the first race is 1 p.m.
The Fall Meet runs Oct.4-26 at the track in the Lexington area.
Keeneland is currently undergoing a construction project to build a brand new paddock building and new jockey quarters. That work could impact travel and parking during the Fall Meet. More information can be found by clicking here.
