LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Photos circulating on social media are sparking criticism at the state Capitol, where Democrats say Republican lawmakers were playing a bingo-style game while debating bills in the state House of Representatives.
The Kentucky Democratic Party shared the images, alleging the cards were passed among Republicans and used while debate was underway.
The bingo cards feature phrases tied to political talking points, including "gun violence," "anti-ICE," "gun control," "women’s rights," "working families" and "here we go again."
Democrats argue the activity undercuts the seriousness of issues being discussed on the House floor.
The images quickly spread online, drawing attention and reaction.
The Kentucky House Republican caucus and the Republican Party of Kentucky have not commented.
