LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A head-on collision killed a Meade County man on Monday evening.
In a release, Kentucky State Police said the crash happened just before 7 p.m. on KY 1692 near Kirchdorfer Road near Brandenburg.
A preliminary investigation showed that the driver of a Chevrolet Malibu was northbound on the two-lane highway, when he crossed the center line and into the path of a Ford F-150 traveling southbound.
The driver of the pickup was taken to UofL Health Hospital in downtown Louisville. No updates have been given on his condition, but he was expected to survive.
KSP said the driver of the car, Gregory Brown, 62, of Payneville, died at the scene.
KY 1692 was closed several hours to allow KSP to reconstruct the collision.
