JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WDRB) -- The owner of a popular southern Indiana venue for weddings and events for 25 years is calling it quits.

Kye Hoehn has sold Kye's and Kye's Two in Jeffersonville and plans to retire. The buildings have been sold to Commercial Logistics, the company that owns the surrounding property.

The business will remain open as Kye's through the end of the year. Hoehn said it's been a labor of love for decades, and selling was an emotional decision.

"I have loved it (and) enjoyed it," Hoehn said. "It's been a part of me. It's been my life. Both my children were married here, celebrated so many wonderful moments with people I know and people I didn't know."

Commercial Logistics said it's open to another event planner leasing the space, or it could use the buildings for retail or office space.
