LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Two people were injured and four were displaced after a structure fire on South Floyd Street early Friday morning.
According to a release from the Louisville Fire Department, crews were dispatched at 1:33 a.m. to a reported fire in the 1200 block of S. Floyd Street.
When crews arrived on scene at 1:38 a.m., they found a two-story brick storefront with "heavy fire involvement" on the second floor.
According to the release, the second floor had residential units, but all occupants were out of the building before fire crews arrived.
Firefighters initiated what the release called an "aggressive fire attack," and with the help of 45 firefighters and three staff officers, they were able to get the fire under control at 1:54 a.m.
