LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police are investigating a fatal shooting in south Louisville.
The shooting happened in the 8000 block of Glimmer Way, which is not far from New Cut Road and Outer Loop.
The shooting call came in overnight Sunday shortly before 1 a.m.
"When officers arrived they located a black male in the courtyard of this apartment complex," LMPD Spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said.
Police say the man in his 20s was found in that courtyard at the Overlook Terrace apartments and died at the hospital. His name name has not yet been released.
This isn't the first time the complex has been the scene of a deadly shooting. A man was shot and killed at the complex in February of 2018. In September, 17-year-old Martez Wade was killed just steps away from his family's apartment.
The latest homicide makes three deadly shootings there in less than a year and half. All the violence has neighbors questioning whether or not they even want to stay.
"It does make me nervous, it makes me scared," said a neighbor who didn't want to show his face or use his name to protect his family. "We are thinking about moving soon because I mean this is pretty crazy right now, I've got two kids."
