LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man died Monday after a crash earlier this month in Louisville's Highlands Douglass neighborhood.Â
According to Louisville Metro Police, officers were called to reported crash at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 11 at Taylorsville and Bardstown roads. Once on scene, police found two cars that crashed.Â
Based on information from witnesses, investigators said a vehicle was stopped in the eastbound lanes of Taylorsville Road, attempting to make a left turn into a business. As the driver attempted to cross the westbound lanes into the business, they crashed into another vehicle that was in the inside lane, police said.
Two men in the vehicle the driver crashed into were taken to UofL Hospital with serious injuries. One of the men, police said, died Monday while the other continues to recover.
The LMPD Traffic Unit's investigation is ongoing, and police said no charges have been filed.
The man's name has not yet been released by the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.
