LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Fire tore through a vacant two-story apartment building in the Shawnee neighborhood early Tuesday.Â
It happened just after 5:30 a.m. at a vacant two-story residential apartment in the 300 Block of South 41st Street, according to a news release from the Louisville Fire Department.Â
Flames were visible as firefighters arrived minutes after receiving the first report. Crews entered and used multiple hand lines to put out the fire on the second floor. It was successfully brought under control by 6:01 a.m., with 32 firefighters on scene, according to the release.Â
Nearby buildings weren't damaged by the fire, and no injuries were reported.Â
Louisville Metro Arson is working to determine the cause of the fire.Â
