LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A fire at a Boost Mobile cell phone store in the Newburg neighborhood over the weekend was intentionally set, and arson investigators are searching for a person of interest captured on video.Â
That's according to a news release from Louisville Fire and Rescue spokesperson Capt. Donovan Sims.
Firefighters were called to the scene of the fire at 5107 Preston Highway around 1:30 p.m. on April 7 to find "a working fire inside the building," according to the release.Â
Fire crews extinguished the flames, and the Louisville Metro Arson Bureau determined that the fire was intentionally set. Now investigators are seeking assistance to identify the person shown in the images in this story. They believe he has information that can help their investigation into the cause of the fire.
The man was last seen walking near the scene of the fire shortly after the incident. He was carrying an orange backpack and wearing a hat, jacket, jeans, and black boots.Â
