LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Bats outfielder Rece Hinds is starting the season on a tear.

Hinds was named the International League’s Player of the Week after a dominant opening stretch at the plate.

Through the first nine games, he’s hitting .382 with four home runs and 14 RBIs, reaching base in every game.

He’s also come through in key moments, delivering multiple game-ending hits early in the season — including a walk-off home run during the team’s opening homestand.

The 25-year-old is building on a strong 2025 campaign, when he earned All-Star honors and was named the Bats’ team MVP.

Louisville heads on the road this week for its first away series of the season.
