LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Several inches of heavy, wet snowfall overnight caused traffic issues Tuesday morning.

Numerous crashes were reported on Louisville-area interstates and secondary roads, and drivers involved in non-injury crashes Tuesday will need to fill out an online report instead of calling for a police officer.

That's according to a post on the department's Facebook page advising drivers to move vehicles out of the roadway if it is safe to do so.

"If you are involved in a non-injury and can safely get the vehicles off the roadway, please do so. Again, we remind you to make sure to exchange names and information between you and the other driver."

Drivers are encouraged to exercise caution, slow down, and allow for extra travel time.
