LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man died Sunday after he was hit by a vehicle in Shively on Sunday.

It happened at 4 a.m. Dec. 21 in the 2900 block of Dixie Highway, Sgt. Jordan Brown, a spokesperson for the Shively Police Department, said in a statement. That's between Algonquin Parkway and Ralph Avenue.

Once on scene, officers found the man believed to be in his 20s and EMS transported him to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Brown said the driver remained at the scene, and no criminal charges are expected to be filed.
